A Virtual Craft Fair .......

Many of you will be aware that this week is CRAFTFEST week - but what is Craftfest?

Well it is an online craft fair - what a great idea!  You don't need to go out in the rain and you can browse through the stalls with a cup of tea and a digestive (or a glass wine and some peanuts).  Crafters from all over the world gather together to show you their wares and its all in one place to make it easy for you.

There is a wide range of items available and it is all split into specific categories to make it even easier for you to find that perfect gift (or treat yourself - go on - you deserve it!)

I would like to give a HUGE thank you to the organisers of the event. They have managed to make it such fun to take part this year - you know who you are, so please take a bow and feel very proud of yourselves.

Right I will leave you alone to browse now (don't forget to pop by my Glitterwitch stall - it is in the Gifts section)

The Beads have Landed......

I am very excited to announce that Glitterwitch is now stocking size 9/0 Toho Beads again!  Not only that, but we have the exclusive right to sell them in the UK.

Toho beads are made in Japan, and although lots of craft suppliers sell them, it is usually size 8/0 or 11/0. One wholesaler in Denmark buys the size 9/0 beads from Japan with the agreement they will not sell to anyone else.  In turn they grant the exclusive rights to one business in each country or region and for the UK that is me!

So, now you are thinking, "what can I do with these beads then?" Well take a look at our Pinterest page for some inspiration

I use them to make jewellery, like this plaited necklace

Or with the addition of some crystal drop beads, you could make this necklace
They are ideal for beading all sorts of items, especially Christmas Decorations.  Over the coming months, I will giving you lots of ideas, including some easy patterns to get you started.

Here is a link to our website so you can see all the lovely colours that these beads come in. I will be adding new ones all the time as they arrive from Denmark.
